We are seeking a self-motivated International Higher Education professional to join our Global Engagement team as International Partnerships Manager. The post-holder will play a key role in driving forward the development, management and success of Queen Mary’s international partnerships across the globe.

The International Partnerships Team will contribute to the delivery of Queen Mary’s 2030 Strategy goals and objectives, by supporting and working with existing partners and Schools to advise on, develop, nurture, promote, expand and review international partnerships with like-minded institutions around the globe.

The International Partnerships Manager will be the main point of contact for a number of Queen Mary’s existing institutional partnerships. Working closely with the partner and Queen Mary Schools and Institutes, they will work towards making the partnership as successful and fruitful as possible, including: (i) conducting marketing activities to ensure optimum recruitment from the partner (ii) expanding existing arrangements to include other Schools and Faculties and other models of collaboration (iii) developing and implementing process to encourage collaborative provision development (iv) planning incoming visits from partners and arranging visits to the partners from academic staff. This will, of course, include travel to a number of different locations where Queen Mary already engages in collaborative activity.   

The International Partnerships Manager will also be involved in contributing to the strategic development of new partnerships, and in exploring new models of collaboration, within Queen Mary’s existing academic regulations. You will also be required to conduct due diligence and evaluation on potential partners as part of the role. Liaising with external organisations such as the British Council and UUKi will also be necessary.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who has already worked in a similar role, is highly personable, has a high sense of cultural awareness, and is flexible enough to take on a range of different activities as and when necessary.

The post is a full-time permanent position based at Department W in Whitechapel, London. The role will include up to 8 weeks travel per year. Starting salary will be £40,386 - £47,414 per annum inclusive of London Allowance.  Benefits include 30 days annual leave, pension scheme and interest-free season ticket loan.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate their eligibility to work in the UK in accordance with the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006. Where required this may include entry clearance or continued leave to remain under the Points Based Immigration Scheme.
