Overview

About the Role

You will join the ATLAS group in the Particle Physics Research Centre (PPRC), working in our tightly knit team, making leading contributions to the ATLAS analysis of the Higgs boson, with an initial focus on di-muon final states. You will provide support to our PhD students and contribute to the broader activities of the group and the school.

About You

You will have completed or be about to complete a PhD in particle physics and have a strong track record in experimental particle physics. You should be proficient in programming in C++ and Python.

About the Group

The Centre consists of 10 academics, 9 PDRAs and 22 PhD students, and is supported by a strong research engineering and technical team. Our ATLAS group interests include measurements of the Standard Model Higgs production in heavy flavour and muon decay modes, searches for new phenomena in di-Higgs production, and searches for heavy Higgs bosons. We are also active in searches for Dark Matter, precision Standard Model measurements, and flavour physics.
