This extensive series of Autumn Engagement webinars will offer you a taste of life as a postgraduate student at Queen Mary University of London and introduce you to our full range of student support services. You will be able to learn more about your programme of study, hear from successful alumni and take part in sessions designed to equip you for the rigours of academic life at one of the UK’s leading institutions. We have also prepared some practical workshops on topics such as visa applications and postgraduate careers. Don't forget to check out our social activities for a chance to meet your future classmates and have some fun!

Dr Yuansi Hou - Programme Director for MSc Marketing – will introduce our MSc Marketing programme through a taster lecture: Challenges due to services characteristics - are the services products different from tangible goods? Services are not a minor or superficial part of Western economies, but go to the heart of value creation. Services have a number of distinctive characteristics that differentiate them from goods and have implications for the manner in which they are marketed. This talk will explore why the services industry is an important sector and in which aspects services products are different from tangible goods.
