Kambiz was a GP in Tower Hamlets from 1982 until 2016. He was also instrumental in establishing Queen Mary University of London’s Clinical Effectiveness Group, which uses the data from GP clinical systems to improve population health in east London. In this role he delivered post-graduate education and research relating to care for patients with chronic disease, developed locally tailored clinical guidelines and practice-based education, and was involved in developing the Discovery Data Service – a project that brings primary and secondary care data together to give a deeper understanding of the determinants of health.
