Julie oversees the management and operations of the Centre. She has experience in academic project management, multi-centre clinical trials and working with industry. Julie is a co-investigator on several women’s health studies and oversees the operations of all clinical trials and global studies run through the Centre (including feasibility, site set-up, pilot and full –scale trials).


She co-led on obtaining the World Health Organisation Collaborating Centre status and set-up of the Barts Research Centre for Women’s Health (BARC). She is involved in the Women’s Health Patient and Public Involvement group, Katie’s Team, and works closely with the Women’s Health Research Team at Barts Health NHS Trust.


She has previously worked as a Senior Research Fellow at UCL for several years, where she conducted research into sexual health and obtained a PhD in HIV epidemiology. She has also previously managed studies in primary care at UCL and the Medical Research Council.
