The health of populations around the globe has been steadily improving in the last century. However health systems face growing challenges in delivering better health. Climate change, environmental degradation, ageing populations, urbanisation, political upheaval, and migration on an unprecedented scale, all combine to exacerbate existing and create new needs.
Established in November 2019, the Institute of Population Health Sciences at QMUL is a world-class grouping of scientists and educators in population health sciences, including public and global health, health services research, clinical trials, health policy and economics, health data science, behavioural and social science, biostatistics, translational and implementation science. Our focus is to drive forward research within and across these disciplines to deliver the evidence to implement health system change and improve population health.
