Partner Summer Schools

Any students interested in applying should contact the host institutions, and if successful should notify the Queen Mary Global Opportunities Office at Mary is not involved in the organisation or selection of students for the following programmes.

Confucius Institute Haban Scholarships

These scholarships, available from Hanban for students and scholars, provide the opportunity to study in Chinese universities and colleges, experience life in China, and also give insight on Chinese culture for four weeks, one semester or one year. Hanban enforces strict eligibility criteria for each of these scholarships. For detailed criteria, please refer to the Hanban website (or Queen Mary Confucius Institute website)*

The application deadlines are:

·         April 20th (for programs commencing in July)

·         May 20th (for programs commencing in September)

·         September 20th (for programs commencing in December)

·         November 20th (for programs commencing in March 2021)

Hanban will complete the scholarship review and publish the results three months before enrollment of the scholarship winners.

ONLINE - BINUS University 

Themes of International Thematic Camp @SIS 2020  is “preserving culture amid covid-19”. Participants will look for solutions related to cultural issues amid covid with the design thinking methods that will be studied at this camp. Participants will be challenged to create better creative ideas based on the current covid-19 situation.

This program is limited only to 25 participants.

Program Goals

By joining this program, it’s expected that participant will improve their soft skills and knowledge about current trends in information systems. The program goals of ITC@SIS 2020 are:

  • Create strong connections while learning the values of collaboration and respect for each other.
  • Give insight into information systems and its application.

Screen Tools short course, University of Auckland, New Zealand.

Study in Australia for four weeks - from 22 June to 17 July 2020

Screen Tools is a hands-on course designed to equip students with the skills they need for a career in film, television and digital media industries, or to enhance further tertiary screen production options.

Based on the professional television industry practice, students will experience the entire screen production process from scriptwriting to screen working within the drama medium. Over the four weeks, guided by leading industry professionals, the students will create a short screen drama within the demands of a fast-turnaround process. This is the opportunity for students to refine existing production knowledge or to add a new set of technical, performance and creative skills to enhance their production resume.
