Dr Bob Sturm from the School of Electronic Engineering and Computer Science has organised a concert titled ‘Partnerships’ on Tuesday 23 May, featuring works created with computers as creative partners drawing on a uniquely human tradition: instrumental folk music. The concert will showcase works involving composers and musicians co-creating music with the program. You can book now online. Check out the expert blog post by Dr Sturm and Dr Ben-Tal on their research creating artificial intelligence that can write folk music and whether this can open new areas of creativity.
