An episode in a podcast series on 'Spaces of Solitude' has won Silver in the prestigious Lovie Internet Awards, 'Best Individual Episode' category. The winning episode, ‘The Mind’, features the poet and philosopher Denise Riley, the psychoanalyst and writer Adam Phillips, the neuroscientist Sarah Garfinkel and researcher and writer Akshi Singh. It was curated by Akshi Singh and produced by Natalie Steed. You can listen to it here: https://solitudes.qmul.ac.uk/podcasts/

The ‘Mind’ podcast appears on the website of ‘Pathologies of Solitude’, a research project funded by the Wellcome Trust. Other podcasts explore solitary confinement, urban solitude, garden solitude, and perilous places of solitude. There is also a very personal conversation between the Archbishop of Canterbury and Diarmaid MacCulloch, the leading church historian, about spiritual solitude. The website also features dozens of blogs, including a series on ‘Solitude and Covid-19’; a film on lockdown solitude; and an exhibition by the award-winning artist Sophie Burrows.
