Medical Education Research Seminars 2019/20

Seminars take place monthly in the Garrod Building, at different times and days of the week to maximise opportunity for all to attend at least some of the series. The format is a one hour seminar, including Q & A, followed by an opportunity for informal conversation with refreshment for those who wish to continue.

Summary: Being a good teacher in Medical Education may seem obvious and something we can take for granted. But is that true? What evidence is there for any of the approaches that we cherish and how do we make teaching meaningful for both lecturers and students given the context in which we work? This seminar is an exploration of the common assumptions and evidence underpinning our practice and the effect these may have on the outcomes for students.
