What We teach

Our Teaching Ethos

We enable students to become self-aware critical thinkers who appreciate their own place within a rich field of study and the value of bringing a historical mindset to bear on the modern world. This aim is underpinned by a strong educational ethos, which translates graduate attributes into a framework of skills, habits and behaviours that all historians should seek to acquire and improve. They are built on: Expertise, Curiosity and Responsibility.
