Teaching Associate

My doctoral research examines the history of diet, digestion, and emotional ill-health in Britain (1827-1914), focusing particularly on functional digestive disorders such as dyspepsia. I am part of the part of the Wellcome Trust funded ‘Living with Feeling’ project at Queen Mary’s Centre for the History of Emotions, and previously completed my BA History at the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven and my MA History here at Queen Mary. My broader research interests include the history of emotions, social history of medicine, and gender history.
