Profile

My PhD project 'Radical Portraits, 1789-1819' is funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council as part of the Collaborative Doctoral Programme. I am based between the National Portrait Gallery and the School of English and Drama at Queen Mary, University of London. My PhD research has received awards from the Lewis Walpole Library, the Paul Mellon Centre for Studies in British Art and the British Federation of Women Graduates. I teach second and third-year undergraduates in the Schools of English and History at QMUL.
