Profile

I am an alumnus of the Scuola Normale Superiore (Pisa, Italy) and I hold a BA and MA in Modern History from the University of Pisa. I am currently a PhD student in Political Thought and Intellectual History at the School of History, Queen Mary University of London.

My research is centred on the British Empire’s involvement in the Mediterranean sea in the first half of the 19th century, focusing in particular on the transnational debates between British imperial practitioners and Southern Italian intellectuals about the international order and constitutionalism in the Mediterranean region.
