Professor Tilli Tansey will be speaking at an event at the Home Office, entitled 'Animals in Science day: 1876-2016 a celebration looking backwards and looking forwards'. Expected participants include a variety of stakeholders, such as representatives from universities, industry and animal rights organisations, as well as MPs and civil servants. The event marks the 140th anniversary of the 1876 Cruelty to Animals Act, and the 30th anniversary of the 1986 Animals (Scientific Procedures) Act, and Prof Tansey's talk is entitled 'A journey through time: 1876-1986'.
