Globe making workshop at Nahra School

The Globe team with staff and students from O.P. Jindal Global University visited a small village outside Sonipat in the state of Haryana, where farmers were controversially burning their crops.

Located at the far reaches of Delhi’s outskirts, Nahra is a remote and rural village. In the haze of a late morning we held a globe-making workshop with a class of twelve and thirteen year-old boys. When they showed us the ‘global worlds’ they had made, we asked them if home was their village, state, country or the world they lived in? One boy commented, ‘In my globe people are stuck in between the moon and the sun’.
