Dr Charles Teta

Lecturer in Environmental Science

Charles’s research integrates environmental chemistry, biogeochemistry, and ecotoxicology to understand impacts of anthropogenic disturbances on ecosystems and public health. Some of his past research focused on heavy metal pollution from urban areas, landfills, and mine tailings, as well as the sources and ecological effects of contaminants of emerging concern, including endocrine-disrupting chemicals and pharmaceuticals. He is also interested in researching novel waste management methods to mitigate pollutants of concern.
