Generous research grants available for Erasmus+ postgraduate exchanges in India

Looking to gain international academic experience and to give your CV a competitive edge while benefitting from funding? This is a fantastic, life-changing opportunity to boost your employability and personalise your postgraduate degree with niche international experience by conducting a portion of your research at O.P. Jindal Global University (JGU), the School of Geography’s partner institution in India, through the Erasmus+ International Credit Mobility (ICM) Programme.

You can apply to complete a 3-month research exchange during the final months of your postgraduate degree, facilitating access to primary sources and archives, fieldwork and specialised training opportunities. You must be hosted by one of the following two schools within JGU:

The Erasmus+ ICM grant provides individual support funding of €650 per month to contribute towards your living cost as well as a one-off €820 travel grant to contribute towards your return airfare. The Erasmus+ Programme is committed to widening participation and increasing the number of mobile students from disadvantaged backgrounds.

How to apply?

Discuss with your supervisor and apply for the funded research exchange directly with the School of Geography's International Study Officer, Dr Olivia Sheringham.
