Dr Cathy McIlwaine has been awarded funding from the City Parochial Foundation to conduct a research project on 'the Latin American Community in London'. The project involves a partnership between City Parochial and the Latin American Women's Rights Service and the research is valued at £56,680. It will be directed and coordinated by Cathy and Maria Ururita from Olmec (a community investment foundation), and is wholly based at Queen Mary.
This project builds upon Cathy's on-going research work with the Latin American community in London and provides a further way in which her work links to a range of community and 'user' organisations.
