Visiting Scholarships
Academics who are planning to take sabbatical leave are invited to apply for the position of International Visiting Scholar in the Department of Geography, Queen Mary, University of London. The Department of Geography at QMUL, graded 5A in RAE (2001), has an international reputation for theoretically-informed, empirically-grounded and politically-engaged research. We welcome applications from scholars whose work and interests coincide with the research themes of the Department: Hydrologic and Fluvial Processes; Culture, Space and Power; Economy, Development and Social Justice; Health, Place and Society; Environmental Change and Management.

The Department will pay up to £1000 towards the cost of air-fares and will provide desk, computer, library and office facilities for a period of up to eight weeks. Although we are unable to provide accommodation in London, the College has rooms that can be hired.

The Visiting Sabbatical Scholar will be expected to take part in Departmental research activities.

All those who are interested are advised to a member of academic staff or the Departmental Research and Teaching Officer via
