QMUL welcomes two outstanding international scholars

Professor Sallie Marston from the Department of Geography & Regional Development at the University of Arizona has been appointed as Distinguished Visiting Fellow for the 2008 - 09 academic year. She will be working on a book project entitled Against Scale: Situated Materiality which draws upon her influential work on the question of scale in human geography.
Professor John Paul Jones III from the Department of Geography & Regional Development at the University of Arizona is spending a sabbatical in the Department of Geography at Queen Mary, University of London in the autumn semester of 2008–09. He will be working on a range of projects on space in social and cultural theory, the question of scale, and the natural and social spaces of the Arizona mosquito.
