Are you an undergraduate student, postgraduate student, or an early career scientist from a Black, Asian, or other ethnic minority backgrounds in the UK interested in careers within Environmental Science or Natural History research? The Natural History Museum’s Explorers Programme invites you to the Explorers Conference 2021 on Friday 26 November.

The Explorers Programme aims to support individuals from marginalised ethnic backgrounds by addressing barriers through events and resources tailored to specific stages in a young person’s education and career.

At this conference, you will hear directly from scientists from marginalised ethnic groups about their careers and experiences, discover the varied opportunities in the environmental sciences, and take part in workshops to provide the tools and advice that will assist you on your own career and educational journeys. There will also be a networking session at the event to meet the speakers, discuss opportunities and gather advice.

This is a free event that will be hosted in person at the Natural History Museum in London and they will also have a virtual option for those who wish to watch the panel discussion and partake in (a subset) of workshops remotely. Please see the Eventbrite for more details.
