Geography Undergraduate Taster day

8 June 2015

Time: 12:45 - 4:30pm
Venue: Mile End Campus

Introduction to Geography at QMUL: Explore, Discover, Engage

This course will provide you with a taste of what studying Geography at Queen Mary University of London is like, including taster lectures, workshop sessions and less formal discussion with current undergraduates and members of academic staff. Geographers at QMUL are able to explore the relevance of geography to understanding the world around us, whether economic, social and environmental issues that we find on our doorstep in the diverse and ever changing boroughs of East London or human and physical geography processes that take place at much larger scales.

We will give you an insight into the discoveries that our undergraduates make while they are with us and how we encourage them to actively engage in today's most important and pressing issues. During the afternoon, there will also be an opportunity to visit the School of Geography and QMUL campus and to take a closer look at our refurbished laboratories. Book your place here.

Duration: Half day (12.45-4.30pm)

Subject area/s: Geography, Geography (Human)

Course Requirements: This taster course is open to all students in year 12 as well as anyone considering starting their undergraduate studies in September 2016, including those who are not studying Geography at AS/A2 level.
