21 March 2018

Time: 12:30 - 4:30pm
Venue: School of Geography, Mile End campus

Kate Amis from QMUL School of Geography leads this half day of urban fieldwork for teachers.

Join us to consider ways of constructing field enquiries, share good practice and think about how to embed fieldwork into the new A Level and GCSE specifications. The core focus will be Hackney using fieldwork as part of the Changing Places element of the new A Level specifications. Comprehensive resource pack included for participating teachers. Lunch provided.

This is a new venue following on from the success of the Tower Hamlets fieldwork days over the past couple of years. There will be lots of new material and plenty of opportunities to collect data and try out new techniques. The course includes a walk along the canal, a visit to Broadway Market and a visit to Mare St.

Open to teachers and trainee teachers.

This event is free of charge but places must be booked in advance.
