Call for Workshops

New for 2022, the Festival will contain a dedicated workshop space on both days of the Festival.

Applications are open for Queen Mary workshops with content suitable for families and a variety of ages. This could be making, building or playing something together to watching an interactive show or demonstration. 

This opportunity is open to any student or staff member at Queen Mary, and can be combined with running an activity.

Workshops will be:

  • 45 minutes long
  • For a maximum of 30 people
  • Taking place in a dedicated workshop space
  • Focused on a particular subject area/task

Funding (now closed)

The deadline for funding applications was the end of day on Thursday 31st March, and so the funding scheme is now closed.
If you would still like to take part in the Festival and don't need funding to do so, we are accepting submissions on the form below until end of day on Friday 22nd April.

Please note that you are unable to apply to the Centre for Public Engagement Small Grants scheme for activity at the Festival of Communities.

The deadline for workshop applications without funding is the end of day on Friday 22nd April.
All applicants will be informed by the end of April if their workshop has been successful to feature in the Festival.
