Would you like to run an activity at the Festival but aren't sure how to get started?
Come along to the 'Hands-on Engagement' session taking place on Wednesday 4th March 2020, from 1-4pm.
Whatever your experience with public engagement, featuring at the Festival of CommunIties provides a great opportunity to engagelocal audiences with Queen Mary research, teaching and other projects and initiatives. The Festival provides a ready-made opportunity to engage with young family audiences in a relaxed environment.
With families and children often visiting your activity for a few minutes at a time, it's important to think creatively about designing your activities, ensuring a fun, engaging time for all, whilst meeting your activity aims.
This session will cover some of the best ways to engage local residents, how to get started designing your own hands-on activity, and an opportunity to find out more about being involved in the Festival.
This training is for Queen Mary Staff and students, and community organisations wishing to take part in the Festival.
