Over the next decade, artificial intelligence (AI) is set to transform business and society and the UK has recently outlined its goal to become a global AI superpower in its National AI Strategy.

As a leading research-intensive university with internationally recognised expertise in AI, Queen Mary University of London will support the UK’s plans helping to train the future AI workforce and deliver digital research innovations with impact for industry, government and society. Our new Digital Environment Research Institute (DERI) sits at the centre of these ambitions to foster multi-disciplinary research into AI and data science for the benefit of society.

Why attend? Our upcoming event ‘Towards 2030: Realising the UK's AI ambitions’ will be an opportunity to learn about Artificial Intelligence, its potential to transform all aspects of human life and how the UK is planning to harness the opportunities and challenges brought about by these technologies which have been described as the “fourth industrial revolution”.
We have convened a small panel of leading experts with whom we will discuss key aspects of the National AI strategy including the AI skills gap, diversity within the sector, academia-industry collaboration and the governance of AI technology.
