This free online Taster Session takes place on Tuesday 5 April, 5pm - 6pm BST.
Our MA in English Language Teaching is designed for both those already in teaching positions, and those thinking of becoming language teachers. Current UG students also welcome!
Taster module: ‘Using Video in English Language Teaching’ - Senior Lecturer in Languages E-Learning, Martin Barge will demonstrate how video can be used as an engaging and effective way to teach English. You will discover the distinction between video as a mode of listening practice, versus video as a visual stimulus for language learning and production. You will then have an opportunity to do some online tasks based on the video, followed by a short demonstration of how to make interactive tasks.
Q & A with alumni: This slot is your chance to ask our alumni about the degree, the modules they’ve taken, other experiences while studying, etc.
