The Lesson of Jan Karski is a one-man play starring Oscar-nominated US actor David Strathairn about a Holocaust witness whose hand-written reports to US and British heads of state were ignored. The 80-minute play in Queen Mary's historic Great Hall (London's second largest theatre) will be followed by a panel discussion and live Q&A about genocide today and what we as individuals can do about it. Panellists: Actor David Strathairn; Director and co-author Derek Goldman; Queen Mary University of London Law Professor Penny Green; Human Rights Adviser to Governments Arminka Helić; Moderator Razia Iqbal (BBC). A food and drink reception will follow the panel and Q&A.
