Assistive robotics for industry and disability
Supervisor: Dr Ildar Farkhatdinov
You will create novel methods to support the human body for medical and industrial applications. For example, the topic may include the development of robotic exoskeletons for walking and upper limb movements, wheelchair technologies or human-machine interfaces for sensory disability.
The research programme will include experiments with human-participants and collaboration with the medical school. The specific topic and application can be identified based on your research interests. The desirable skills include computer programming, data and control systems analysis.
