Mrs Goodey has considerable experience working in a higher education environment joined Queen Mary University London (QMUL) as the Centre Administrator for the Centre for Oral Clinical Research in Barts and the London Institute of Dentistry in October 2015.
Mrs Goodey has a key role in supporting the smooth functioning of the Centre by providing administrative, budgetary and secretarial support to the Centre Lead/Director Professor Donos and all staff members in COCR.
The role of Centre Administrator has various tasks which include: the administration of the procurement process for the Centre, raising purchase orders, processing payments, dealing with invoice and delivery anomalies and maintain accurate financial records in line with the College Financial Regulations.
Administering process relation to HR related matters, probation, appraisal, honorary and staff contracts/tenure for staff in COCR and to keep appropriate documentation.
Provides advice and support to academic staff in the process of recruitment, selection, and appraisal pre-contract/termination and honorary contract procedures. Delegated approval and monitoring of leave arrangements and responsible for the reporting of sickness on MyHR.
Maintain the COCR internet /intranet web page.
Mrs Goodey has recently attended Mental Health First Aid Course.
Mrs Goodey is the main administrative point of contact for both internally and externally for COCR.
