Profile

Josefina completed a Bachelor of Dental Surgery degree at the Universidad de los Andes, Chile in 2010. Following her graduation she practiced as a general dentist for almost two years in private healthcare centres in Santiago and for three years in the healthcare sector for older people in York. She earned her Masters degree in Public Health at the University of York in 2016 and completed her PhD at York in the Department of Health Sciences in 2021. In 2022, she started a postdoctoral research position at QMUL.

Research Interests:

Josefina’s interests are in general and oral health inequalities, dental public health, healthcare systems and health policy.
