The Southend clinic is located in the centre of Southend, and offers Dental treatment for adults and children, including check-ups, routine fillings, simple root canals and extractions.

During the 4th year, students attend the Southend Academic Dental Centre (SADC) on weekly rotation and will see adult patients only.

Travel information

By train

  • The Campus is adjacent to Southend Central Railway Station for c2c train services from London Fenchurch Street to Shoeburyness. If travelling to or from Whitechapel, change at Barking or West Ham for the District Line.
  • The fastest off peak journey time to London is 54 minutes.
  • Southend Victoria Railway Station, for Greater Anglia train services from London Liverpool Street, is a 10 minute walk from the campus. If travelling to or from Whitechapel, most trains stop at Stratford Station for connections for London Underground
  • The fastest off peak journey time to London is 55 minutes.

By bus

  • The Southend Bus Terminus, 5 minute walk away, in Grove Street.

By car

Travelling by road to Southend inevitably involves using busy and congested roads. When deciding to travel by car allow adequate time for this, and to deal with the likelihood of unexpected traffic problems.

  • There are no designated parking spaces for students within the campus complex. Public car parking near the Gateway Building can be found in the multi-storey car park beneath at University Square (entrance in College Way). This is a barrier controlled, pay on exit car park where 24 hour charges apply. Currently it costs £11 to park for the whole day.
  • A large pay and display car park can be found at Warrior Square. Payment is required between 9.00am and 6.00pm.
