European Commission awards Dr Matthieu Burnay with Jean Monnet Network on EU-China Legal and Judicial Cooperation

EUPLANT logoWe are delighted to announce that Dr Matthieu Burnay, Lecturer in Global Law, Member of the Centre of Law and Society in a Global Context, has been awarded a Jean Monnet Network on EU-China Legal and Judicial Cooperation (EUPLANT) by the European Commission. EUPLANT investigates the interactions between the Chinese and the European Union legal and judicial systems and promotes excellence in teaching and research on EU-China legal and judicial cooperation. Through a set of research, policy and outreach activities, EUPLANT creates new avenues for enhanced academic and policy cooperation between the EU and China and engenders a better understanding of each other’s legal systems. EUPLANT brings together Queen Mary University of London (Coordinator), King’s College London, University of Leuven, Erasmus University Rotterdam, Bologna University, City University of Hong-Kong, Beijing Normal University, and Tsinghua University.
