Profile

Rutger Metsch joined the School of International Arbitration in February 2015 as the White and Case Research Fellow in International Arbitration. He conducted the research for the “2015 International Arbitration Survey”, which is an empirical study into arbitration trends and practices worldwide. This research included the analysis of the answers to a questionnaire by 763 respondents, and 105 personal interviews with stakeholders in international arbitration.

Rutger obtained an LLM (Distinction) in Comparative and International Dispute Resolution at Queen Mary University of London in 2014. Prior to that, Rutger graduated from the LLB (Honours) programme in International and European Law at the University of Groningen. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.
