The Arbitration Act 1996 at 25 - a time for celebration and reflection

The Arbitration Act 1996 came into force on 31 January 1997.

Exactly 25 years later, we invite you to celebrate its success and to consider what the future may hold for the Act.

Please join us for an afternoon of presentations offering differing perspectives, past and present, as well as a debate "This House believes that the Arbitration Act 1996 remains best in class".

The Arbitration Act 1996 at 25 celebratory drinks reception will be held in the Great Hall after the conference.

In order to ensure a safe event for all, we encourage all in-person attendees to take a lateral flow test before attending.Lincoln's Inn has the following Covid-19 safety measures in place:

  • There are sanitizing stations within the venues and across the estate
  • Staff wear masks within the event space
  • Observation of a regular and rigorous cleaning schedule
