What is QTaster?
Find out more about what QTaster involves, and how taking part can benefit you.
What is QTaster?
Would you like to find out what your chosen career path is really like? Are you looking to gain more insight into a sector? Or do you just have no idea where to start with making your career choices? QTaster gives you the opportunity to gain an insight into different sectors, working environments and roles across a range of graduate employers.
What will a QTaster session involve?
All QTaster sessions will take place online. These may include:
- Presentations by different speakers from across the organisation
- Information about their internship and graduate recruitment processes
- Interactive online activities
- Facilitated online networking sessions
- And, of course, the opportunity to ask lots of questions!
You will also attend an introductory session at the beginning of the programme and a career development session at the end of the programme. These training sessions will help you to make the most of the employer-led sessions and to apply your new commercial awareness and networking skills to shape your career choices. These two sessions will be offered both online and on campus from autumn 2021 (Covid restrictions allowing).
Can I choose which employers I visit?
You will be able to choose which four employers you want to hear from. Confirmed employers will be announced here. Last summer round we had Unilever, J. P. Morgan, Civil Service Fast Stream, ING, Expedia Group, T. Rowe Price, Accenture, Liberty Comms and HSBC.
What have previous QTaster participants said?
“My experience with QTaster has been nothing but positive. During a pandemic, networking opportunities were scarce and QTaster was able to provide invaluable insight into reputable companies through virtual, engaging sessions.”
Who can apply?
QTaster is open to current Undergraduate students.
How do I apply?
Applications for our Autumn 2022 round will open in July.
