Institutional profile
Universidade Católica Portuguesa (Catholic University of Portugal) is a non-State-run and non-profit-making university in Portugal. It was created in 1967 by decree of the Holy See at the request of the Portuguese Bishop's conference and under Concordat Law. The University has 18 faculties, schools and institutes across 4 regional campuses.
The University started offering management education in 1972. In 1989, the School of Economics and Management was established following the restructuring and reorganisation of the courses and departments that were then part of the Faculty of Human Sciences. The School was renamed Católica Lisbon School of Business and Economics in February 2011.
