Università Commerciale Luigi Bocconi (Bocconi University) was established in Milan in 1902. It is a research university of international standing in business, economics, and law. Its research projects are funded by national and supranational institutions. Bocconi University is structured around five schools: Undergraduate School, Graduate School, School of Law, PhD School and SDA Bocconi School of Management. Bocconi University awards Bachelor, Master of Science, and PhD degrees in Management, Economics, Law and other disciplines. It also offers a number of post-experience programmes, and administers hundreds of advanced courses to managers and professionals in all realms of private and public management.

The International Student Desk organizes Italian language courses each semester for exchange students to help familiarize themselves with the Italian language.
The following courses are offered to exchange students:
• Italian Language Crash Course: a two week full immersion intensive course held before the start of Bocconi classes.
• Italian Language Follow-Up: a follow-up to the crash course which will continue throughout the semester.
