Dr Ghulam Mustafa
Visiting Research Fellow
Dr Ghulam Mustafa is an applied economist interested in economic growth, health economics, and institutions. His work has covered topics such as the impact of fracking on health, the role of human capital in growth, the role of trade liberalisation in fostering economic growth and human development. He has extensive teaching experience, gained from teaching a range of subjects in Economics and Quantitative Skills at the Queen Mary University of London, Middlesex University, London, and prestigious universities in Pakistan. He holds a PhD in Economics from Middlesex University (2013). Dr Ghulam joined the University of Derby as a Lecturer in the College of Business, Law and Social Sciences in October 2018 and remains affiliated with the Queen Mary University of London as a Visiting Research Fellow since June 2018.
