Student Placement and Mentoring Officer



The Student Placement and Mentoring Officer is a member of the Professional Support staff in the School of Business and Management, responsible for engaging employers in placement and mentoring provision, and delivering administrative support for students undertaking placements. They engage with employers, alumni, students, Module Organisers, Programme Directors for the MA in Heritage Management and the MA in Creative Industries, and the academic Director of Skills and Employer Engagement.

Sonia works closely with the Business Development Manager, the Student Admin teams, the Student Engagement Manager, and the Employer Engagement & Internships Coordinator, ensuring effective cross-team working, and will work in close collaboration with the Careers and Enterprise QMentoring Coordinator. She works in partnership with academics, students, employers and alumni to create mentoring oportunities for students and partner organisations. She organises work placements for PG programmes and manages the mentoring scheme for the school.
