Employer Engagement and Internships Coordinator



The Employer Engagement and Internships Coordinator  is part of the Employer Engagement team and provides a dedicated service for students and graduates from the School of Business and Management (SBM). They work across both the central Careers and Enterprise team and for the School of Business and Management.  

Helen initiates and builds relationships with a range of employers and alumni for the purpose of sourcing internship opportunities for all taught students. She creates opportunities for internships, communicated these to students, place students into internship roles and liaises with employers and students for feedback to improve and maintain the quality. She engages employers in delivering employer events for the School, including panel discussions, workshops, and in-curriculum sessions. These will be organised, marketed and delivered in partnership with the Senior Careers Coach, Business Development Team and the Schools Events Officer and Alumni Engagement Coordinator (HSS). She maintains relationships with a wide range of employers to promote engagement with SBM students works closely with colleagues within the School and Careers & Enterprise.   

Helen leads of QConsult Projects in the School. These projects give students the chance to work in multidisciplinary teams solving problems faced by businesses, charities and social enterprises within the UK and Internationally. Students are given training and gain first-hand experience working with a client whilst receiving support from a Queen Mary supervisor.
