Project Manager



The Project Manager works closely with the Strategic Project Manager to create and manage project plans in pursuit of multiple accreditations, and will provides expert project management skills across inter-related School projects that are deemed business critical by the School, Faculty or University. They are tasked with managing SBM’s commitment to securing international recognition for the quality of its staff, its research, its portfolio of programmes, and its engagement.

The Project Manager interfaces with SBM’s Dean and Associate Deans, Programme Directors inside SBM and across other Schools, colleagues in the Estates and IT Directorates and in Academic Registry, the office of the Vice-Principal for the Faculty, and with external suppliers and experts. They are assist in capital projects carried out by the school.

Sophia creates project documentation to ensure each project has agreed and clearly communicated objectives, in line with School, Faculty and University strategies and supports project teams with updates and reminders as required; calls and to service committees and workshops as necessary to further the aims of each project. She measure progress against targets and document performance against plan and communicates with project stakeholders, both internal and external, on a regular schedule, in agreement with the Faculty Strategic Project Manager.

She produced and manages data sets and works closely with data analysis colleagues from within SBM and from the wider University, in order to prepare robust analyses of the School’s performance and requirements. She also provides advice and training to colleagues in the School and the Faculty in project management techniques and on the use of data based evidence.

The Project Manager is part of the Project Office and reports to the School Manager and the Strategic Project Manager.
