Student Support Officer
The Student Support Officer works closely with the Teaching & Learning teams (undergraduate and postgraduate teams), the Student Engagement Manager and Programme Directors with a particular emphasis on delivering one-to-one student support for undergraduate and postgraduate students who require academic regulatory information, module choice information and pastoral support. They work in a team alongside the Academic Writing Tutor and a Quantitative Skills Tutor and signposts students to other colleagues and central service provision for additional support. They lead on supporting those students who need additional help and guidance and will provide support for the administration of the extenuating circumstances process with the Student Engagement Manager.
Khadija provides wide support and advice to students who may be facing difficulties during their studies. She places unique and particular emphasis to deliver 1-2-1 appointments with students who require regulatory information and pastoral support. She processes all extenuating circumstances forms and provides pastoral support and guidance to resitting out of attendance students.
The Student Support Officer sits in the Student Engagement Team, under the Student Engagement Manager.
