Welcome from the Head of Department

Professor Stephan Henneberg

A very warm welcome to the Department of Marketing at the School of Business and Management, Queen Mary University of London. We are an inclusive and open department that values all sub-disciplines of marketing and consumer behaviour, and are open to methodological pluralism. We are a team of academics with a strong international reputation who aspire to excellence in teaching, research, and engagement with relevant stakeholders. Our teaching approach is research-led, and our research often integrates different disciplines.

Through the two research groups associated with the Department of Marketing, i.e. the Business Ecosystems Research Group (BERG) and the Marketing Interactions and Consumer Behaviour Research Group (MICB), we foster collaborations between members of the department, other academics in the School of Business and Management, and beyond. ‚ÄčIn our teaching and research we address issues in marketing that relate to today's societal challenges, e.g. issues around marketing ethics, or sustainability, as well as aspects of marketing management and its practices. We are developing a growing community of PhD and post-doc students who are an integral part of the department. We welcome outstanding academics and students who share our passion for the marketing discipline.
