PRME Conference Programme and Other Important Information

The School of Business and Management have organised the conference, accommodation, meals and other activities to support and assist you with your stay with us during the 5th UN PRME UK and Ireland Conference.  Therefore, please read the important information below and take action where necessary.  Thank you in advance for your co-operation. 

 

Directions to The Graduate Centre

The Graduate Centre is building 18 on the PRME Campus Map June 2018 [PDF 956KB]  and can be accessed by Bancroft Road or walking through campus.

Dinners

Please find here the set menus for both restaurants. If you have not yet booked your menu options for the Pre Programme dinner at Verdi Set Menu [PDF 72KB]on Monday or the conference dinner at Masala [PDF 207KB] on Tuesday, please fill in in the relevant Doodle Poll and send them to me by 12pm tomorrow Friday 22 June- see further info below.

 

Pre- programme Mon 25 June

If you will be in London on Monday 25 June why not come along to the Cross-Working group meeting planned in the pre-programme?  PRME working groups can be great way of networking and developing teaching and/or research on topics directly related to the SDGs (with a global community). Whether you are already signed up to a PRME working group or not - you would be most welcome. If you are attending the pre-programme on Monday, reply to this email confirming your attendance. Presentations

Every session varies in length. Some sessions are 55 minutes, an hour and others are up to 75 minutes. To keep to time your presentation should be around 10-13 minutes long maximum with 5 mins for a Q and A. So we can save as much time as possible, send a copy of your slides to conference@unprme.org.uk by 12pm on Monday 25 June 2018 so these can be pre-loaded ahead of your session.

Dinners

Monday 25 June Verdi’s

Verdi’s Restaurant, 237 Mile End Rd, Stepney, London E1 4AA, a 5 minute walk away from the Graduate Centre. Costs are £15 for a 3 course meal and soft drink or a glass of wine, this is not included in your conference fee and can be paid after the meal. Please see the set menu attached. If you would like to attend, make your selections on the following Doodle Poll by 12pm Friday 22 June as spaces are limited.

 

Tuesday 26 June Masala Restaurant Brick Lane

Masala Restaurant, 88 Brick Lane, London E1 6RL- Select one of each number on the following Doodle Poll by 12pm Friday 22 June so we can pre-order your food. An example of an order will be:

 

  1. Starter- Onion Bhaji
  2. Main Curry- Rogon Josh
  3. Meat choice to accompany Curry- Chicken
  4. Rice - Pilau Rice
  5. Naan- Garlic Naan

 

So my order will be an Onion Bhaji for my starter, Chicken Rogon Josh for my main with Pilau Rice and Garlic Naan.

 

Drink orders will be taken on the night. If you have any dietary requirements or allergies, email alicia.george@qmul.ac.uk

 

Transport to the venue and this meal is included in your conference fee.
