Profile

Kristin was awarded a PhD in Cellular and Molecular Biology in 2000 from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where she investigated cell biology of hepatic disease.  She then trained as a postdoctoral fellow at Cancer Research UK, elucidating characteristics of the epidermal stem cell compartment.  Kristin joined the Blizard Institute in 2006 and was promoted to Reader in 2019.  She has been awarded Senior Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy.

Kristin is involved in many aspects of biomedical education. Key roles include Director of Education (Blizard Institute), Head of Graduate Entry Medicine, and Course Director for the MSc Regenerative Medicine.
