Laura studied Psychology at the University of York from 2012 to 2015, during which time she worked part-time as a research assistant within the department. Laura gained her Bachelor of Science degree in 2015, with a particular interest in mental health and wellbeing. From 2015 to 2017 she worked as a support worker for Sheffield Mind, while undertaking a course in Foundations of Counselling at The Academy: S.P.A.C.E. In 2017 Laura began working at Queen Mary University of London as a research psychologist within the Health and Lifestyle Research Unit. During her time at the Unit, Laura worked on randomised control trails looking at e-cigarettes and relapse prevention interventions, and also assisted with studies on weight loss. Since March 2019, Laura has been working as a Trial Coordinator at the Pragmatic Clinical Trials Unit; Laura is coordinating the trial within a programme called IBD-BOOST.
