Global Public Health Unit

“The Global Public Health Unit was established in 2011. The Unit is rooted in the disciplines of public health and social medicine, with a strong orientation towards the social aims of equity and redistributive justice. The Unit’s undergraduate and postgraduate teaching programs provide a multi-disciplinary understanding of global public health, presenting social, political and economic interpretations of the challenges we face to secure a healthier world, in low- as well as high-income settings.

The unit’s staff of eleven academics has an active research programme and is engaged in public policy debates and public health programmes both locally, internationally and globally”.
