Blizard Institute Researcher Wins Three Minute Thesis Competition
Dr Protima Amon, Clinical Research Fellow in Paediatric Gastroenterology, won 1st prize in the QMUL Three Minute Thesis (3MT™) competition on Thursday 11th June for her talk entitled: “It’s a bug’s life”. Her PhD work examines the bacteria in children who have inflammation in the intestine.
It is supported by the Crohn’s in Childhood Research Association, and by the Barts Charity. She is supervised by Professor Ian Sanderson, Dr William Wade and Dr Andy Stagg who are all based in the Centre for Immunobiology at the Blizard Institute. She will represent QMUL at the national finals in September in Manchester.
